Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications:
Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:
- A Master’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree (4 years), or LLB from a recognized university.
Experience:
- For officials in BS-11 to BS-16: Minimum 5 years of service under the government.
- For officials in BS-05 to BS-10: Minimum 8 years of service under the government.

Syllabus for Written Examination
The written examination will include three papers totaling 150 marks:
- General Ability Paper (Objective) – 100 Marks
- Topics: General Knowledge, Pakistan Affairs, English Grammar, and Islamic Studies (for Muslims) or Ethics (for non-Muslims).
- English Essay – 25 Marks
- Urdu Essay – 25 Marks
Additional Assessment:
- Psychological Assessment and Viva Voce: 200 Marks
Note:
- Phase I: All candidates will be called for the written test in General Knowledge (Objective) only.
- Phase II: Candidates scoring at least 40 marks out of 100 in the General Knowledge Paper will be invited for the remaining written tests (English Essay and Urdu Essay).
Important Notes
- Candidates must achieve 40% marks in each subject and 50% marks in aggregate to qualify for the interview stage (shortlisted at a 1:5 ratio).
- Negative marking applies: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer in the MCQ-type paper.
- Changes in examination center priorities are not allowed after submission.
