Vacancies and Eligibility Criteria

1. Chief Internal Auditor

• Role Overview: Responsible for leading SEPCO’s internal audit function, ensuring compliance with governance and risk management frameworks. This role involves designing robust internal controls and streamlining audit processes in alignment with public sector standards.
• Qualification: Member of a recognized professional accounting body (CA, ACCA, ICMA, CIMA, or MBA in Finance).
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in auditing, risk management, and designing financial control frameworks, especially in public or SOE environments.

2. Chief Legal Officer

• Role Overview: The Chief Legal Officer will handle corporate legal affairs, including contracts, regulatory compliance, and advising on legal frameworks. The role includes liaising with regulatory authorities and providing expert legal opinions.
• Qualification: Master’s degree in Law (16 years of education) from an HEC-recognized university and licensed as a High Court advocate.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience in corporate law and compliance, with a preference for leadership roles in the energy sector.

3. Chief Information and Communication Technology Officer (CICTO)

• Role Overview: The CICTO will lead the IT and communication systems at SEPCO, focusing on IT governance, digital transformation, and infrastructure modernization. This role involves managing cross-departmental IT projects and ensuring the security of organizational data.
• Qualification: Master’s degree (16 years of education) in Computer Science, IT, or Software Engineering from an HEC-recognized university.
• Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in IT leadership, software frameworks, and managing large-scale organizational IT systems.

4. Company Secretary

• Role Overview: Responsible for ensuring compliance with corporate governance standards, managing board communications, and maintaining transparency in decision-making processes.
• Qualification: Member of a recognized body of corporate secretaries or professional accountants. A Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or Law is preferred.
• Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in governance and secretarial practices.

5. Director General (MIRAD)

• Role Overview: The Director General will lead the Market Implementation and Regulatory Affairs Department (MIRAD), focusing on competitive electricity market strategies, regulatory compliance, and effective contract management.
• Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or Management Sciences (Master’s in Business Administration preferred) from an HEC-recognized university.
• Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience, including 10 years in the power or related sectors, with expertise in regulatory compliance, market strategy, and technical and commercial operations.

Age, Tenure, and Compensation

• Age Limit: Maximum 55 years as of the application closing date.
• Tenure: Initial contract of 2 years, extendable based on performance.
• Compensation: Market-based salary and benefits, aligned with SEPCO’s regulations.
