Professional Divers (Grade-I & Grade-II) – CE (Power), Tarbela – WAPDA
The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) is seeking applications from experienced professionals for Diver Grade-I and Diver Grade-II roles at its Chief Engineer (Power) Tarbela office. These are contract-based government positions designed for skilled individuals with advanced training in underwater operations and extensive hands-on diving experience in deep water environments.
Candidates must hold certification in Deep Diving from the Pakistan Navy School for Deep Water, with either 10 or 5 years of active field experience depending on the post. These positions are essential to maintaining and inspecting submerged infrastructure related to hydropower operations at the Tarbela Dam, one of Pakistan’s key water and energy assets.

🏢 About WAPDA:

Located at the Tarbela Dam, one of the world’s largest earth-filled dams, the CE (Power) office oversees the operation and maintenance of hydro turbines and auxiliary facilities. The diving team ensures underwater inspections, safety checks, and technical interventions in submerged zones — a critical task in sustaining energy flow and dam integrity.
✅ Eligibility Requirements:
For Diver Grade-I:
- 📜 Certification: Deep Diving course from the Pakistan Navy School for Deep Water
- 👷 Experience: Minimum 10 years of hands-on diving work
- 📆 Maximum Age: 45 years
For Diver Grade-II:
- 📜 Certification: Deep Diving course from the Pakistan Navy School for Deep Water
- 👷 Experience: Minimum 5 years of practical diving work
- 📆 Maximum Age: 45 years
