Community Midwifery Training Course Academic Year 2024-26

The Government of Sindh invites applications from female candidates, preferably married, for the 24-month Community Midwifery Training Course for the academic year 2024-26. This program is designed to equip women with midwifery skills and knowledge, enabling them to provide essential services in their communities, especially in underserved and rural areas.

Community Midwifery Training Course for 2024-26 (820 Seats)

This two-year course combines theoretical and practical training, covering basic and advanced midwifery skills, antenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care, neonatal care, community health and hygiene, emergency obstetric care, and family planning and reproductive health. The training includes comprehensive classroom instruction, hands-on practice in hospitals and maternity wards, and fieldwork in community settings.

Applicants must submit a completed application form along with the required documents and attend an interview at the designated venue. Selection is based on eligibility and interview performance.

General Information:

SectionDetails
Internal ExaminationAt the end of the first week after the selection of candidates and the start of classes, an internal examination will be conducted. Unsuccessful students will be re-examined after 4 weeks. If they fail the second/last attempt, they will be expelled from the training program.
Board Examination1st Year: After completion of one year. Final Year: After completion of the entire training (24 months).
PassingMinimum passing marks in all subjects: Theory Sims – OSCE 85% Overall stations.
StipendCandidates will receive a stipend of Rs. 5000/- per month during training.
Application FormCandidates can obtain the prescribed application forms from their concerned CMW School/College/Public Health School (free of cost). Photocopies of the form are also acceptable.
Last DateThe last date for submission of the admission form is 12th August 2024. However, the form can be accepted at the time of the interview under special circumstances.
DocumentsAttested photocopies of the following documents must be attached to the application form and brought to the interview: Matriculation Pass Certificate (showing date of birth), Matriculation Marks Sheet, Domicile/PRC, CNIC (if underage, Father’s CNIC is mandatory), 4 Passport size photographs (duly attested), and Residence Certificate from the concerned Union Council.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must have a matriculation certificate with at least 40% marks from a recognized board, with preference given to science candidates. The age limit is 15 to 40 years, and experience working in the community is preferred.
