The Islamia University of Bahawalpur is inviting applications from Pakistani Nationals for multiple positions on a Regular / Contract Basis and Tenure Track System (TTS) in the Department of Siraiki and the University College of Nursing (UCN). Available Positions:

1. Professor (BPS-21) – Siraiki Department

• Vacancies: 01
• Eligibility (Regular / Contract Basis):
  • PhD in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized institution.
  • 18 years of teaching or research experience in a postgraduate institution or relevant experience in a national or international organization.
  • Alternatively, 12 years of post-PhD teaching/research experience.
  • A minimum of 15 research publications, with at least 5 published in HEC-recognized journals in the last 5 years.
• Eligibility (Tenure Track System – TTS):
  • PhD from an HEC-recognized institution.
  • 11 years of post-PhD experience or 7 years of teaching/research experience.
  • A minimum of 15 research publications, with at least 5 published in internationally abstracted journals in the last 5 years.

2. Assistant Professor (BPS-19) – University College of Nursing (UCN)

• Vacancies: 02
• Eligibility Criteria:
  • RN, RM with Post RN, MSN, MSPH/MPH:
    • 3-5 years of teaching, research, and administrative experience (preferred).
    • Minimum of 2 publications in recognized Nursing/Health Sciences journals (at least 1 in the last 2 years).
    • Valid Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) License.
  • BSN, MSN, MSPH/MPH:
    • 3-5 years of teaching, research, and administrative experience (preferred).
    • Minimum of 2 publications in recognized Nursing/Health Sciences journals (at least 1 in the last 2 years).
    • Valid PNC License.

Important Note:
Foreign-qualified candidates must attach an equivalence certificate from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) or the Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) as applicable. If the degree hasn’t been issued yet, attach a Certificate/Notification signed by the Controller of Examinations from the degree-awarding university.

How to Apply:

Applications must be submitted online via the IUB e-portal by 04 October 2024. For the post of Professor, submit 05 complete sets of applications, and for the post of Assistant Professor, submit 02 sets, with attested copies of degrees, certificates, and recent photographs. Hard copies should reach the office by 07 October 2024.
