The Health Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) is recruiting Specialists on fixed pay for multiple District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospitals across the province. Open specialties include Anaesthesia, Dental, Dermatology, ENT, Gynaecology, Medicine, Nephrology, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Pathology, Paediatrics, Radiology, and Surgery. Appointments are for one (01) year on a fixed-pay basis, extendable on satisfactory performance and service need.

Hospital-Wise Vacancies (Seat Snapshot)

✅ Each DHQ distributes these seats across most or all of the specialties listed above (exact counts per specialty are as shown in the official notice at each hospital block).

What You’ll Do (Role Highlights)

Clinical Care & On-Calls

• Run OPD, IPD, Emergency and OT/procedure lists for your specialty, including on-call coverage to stabilize emergencies and deliver timely interventions.
• Lead ward rounds, refine management plans, and coordinate multidisciplinary care with allied services.

Patient Safety & Documentation

• Uphold infection prevention & control (IPC), antimicrobial stewardship, safe blood use, and accurate consent/discharge documentation.
• Maintain legible notes, order sets, and digital/EMR entries where available; ensure proper handovers.

Quality & Governance

• Participate in M&M meetings, audits, and protocol adoption; implement corrective actions that reduce complications and length of stay.
• Mentor medical officers, residents/trainees, and nursing teams; contribute to CME and bedside teaching.

Public Service & Referrals

• Strengthen referral pathways between THQ/RHC and DHQ, reducing delays for surgery, obstetric emergencies, neonatal/paediatric crises, and trauma.
• Support disease awareness, screening days, and maternal–child health priorities in the catchment population.

• ETEA screening test: You’ll appear provisionally based on uploaded credentials; detailed scrutiny occurs later with the Appointing Authority.
• CNIC verification: After fee submission, print the E-Sahulat token from your ETEA account and get CNIC verified at any NADRA E-Sahulat kiosk; without verification, you cannot apply. ✅
• Experience marks: Counted only for documented, relevant experience after the required qualification date.
• Separate applications: Apply separately (and pay a separate fee) for each hospital/specialty you wish to pursue.
• Government employees: Apply through proper channel with NOC.
• Vacancy variation: The Department may increase/decrease posts or withhold recruitment without notice.
• Foreign degrees: Provide HEC/PMC equivalence where applicable.
• Originals at interview: Misrepresentation, tampered documents, or perjury leads to rejection/blacklisting.
