Specializations Required for Specialists

Specialists for the Medical Branch must hold MBBS with additional specialization in one of the following areas:
Child Specialist: FCPS, MRCPCH, FRCPCH, Diplomat American Board
ENT Specialist: FCPS, MRCS (ENT), FRCS (ENT), Diplomat American Board
Eye Specialist: FCPS, FRCS (Ophthalmology), Diplomat American Board


Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Male citizens of Pakistan
  • Educational Qualification:
    • MBBS/BDS degrees must be PMDC/PMC-recognized.
    • Specialists must hold additional certifications as mentioned.
  • Medical Fitness: Candidates must meet the medical standards set by the PAF.
  • Age Requirements:
    • Specialists: 29–35 years as of 25 April 2025
    • GDMOs: 24–28 years as of 25 April 2025
    • Dental Surgeons: 23–28 years as of 25 April 2025

Selection Procedure

The PAF follows a comprehensive and competitive selection process:

  1. Online Registration:
    • Visit the official PAF website: joinpaf.gov.pk.
    • Register between 16th December 2024 to 29th December 2024.
  2. Tests and Examinations:
    • Written Test: Intelligence and academic tests in relevant subjects.
    • Initial Physical Test:
      • Running: 1 mile in 8 minutes
      • Push-ups: 15 in 2 minutes
      • Sit-ups: 20 in 2 minutes
      • Chin-ups: 10 in 2 minutes
  3. Medical Examination: Preliminary medical assessment at PAF Selection Centers.
  4. Psychological Assessment: Conducted for shortlisted candidates.
  5. Interview and Final Selection:
    • Interview by the First AHQ Selection Board.
    • Final interview and medical examination at CMB Lahore.
    • Candidates will be selected based on merit.

Ineligibility Conditions

Candidates will be ineligible for selection if they:

  • Are dismissed, removed, or debarred from government services (including Armed Forces).
  • Are declared medically unfit due to Hepatitis B or C.
  • Have been twice rejected by ISSB or GHQ/NHQ/AHQ selection boards.
  • Have been convicted of a criminal offense in a court of law.
  • Have tampered with academic documents or provided false information.
