The Local Government & Community Development Department (LG&CD), Government of Punjab, is offering new employment opportunities under the Punjab Intermediate Cities Improvement Investment Program (PICIIP). As part of its efforts to strengthen municipal services in secondary cities, the department invites applications for essential support staff positions including Drivers and Office Assistant/Naib Qasid. These positions will be placed across the Program Management Unit (PMU) in Lahore and City Implementation Units (CIUs) in Sahiwal and Sialkot.

These contract-based roles are ideal for individuals with a background in transport, office assistance, and basic support services who wish to be part of a growing provincial initiative focused on sustainable urban development. The PICIIP initiative is a transformative program supported by international partners, aimed at improving infrastructure, urban mobility, and service delivery in Punjab’s intermediate cities.

🏛️ About PICIIP & Local Government Department

The Punjab Intermediate Cities Improvement Investment Program (PICIIP) is a flagship initiative of the Local Government & Community Development Department. Its mission is to modernize infrastructure and enhance public service delivery in selected secondary cities of Punjab. The project emphasizes sustainable urban growth, effective waste management, digital transformation, and improved mobility.

The LG&CD Department is the primary implementing agency responsible for city development, community support programs, and municipal governance across Punjab. With the support of development partners, PICIIP aims to turn intermediate cities into engines of economic and civic progress.

Working with PICIIP provides exposure to structured governance, teamwork, and long-term civic impact — all while being part of a government-endorsed transformation plan.

✅ What We’re Looking For

🎓 Education Requirements:
- Drivers: Matric or equivalent
- Office Assistant/Naib Qasid: Middle pass or equivalent
🛠️ Professional Skills:
- Valid driving license (for Driver positions)
- Knowledge of traffic rules and vehicle upkeep
- Basic office maintenance and clerical support (for Office Assistant roles)
- Timekeeping, discipline, and adaptability in a structured environment
