About the Housing Urban Development & Public Health Engineering Department, WASA & LDA

The Housing Urban Development & Public Health Engineering Department oversees planning, design, and execution of urban infrastructure in Punjab. Under this umbrella:

• Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA): Manages water supply, treatment plants, sewerage networks, and sludge management across major cities, including Lahore.
• Lahore Development Authority (LDA): Handles urban planning, land development, and regulation of real estate projects to ensure sustainable growth.

As a Sub Engineer (Civil), you’ll work on feasibility studies, site supervision, quality control of materials, and coordination with consultants and contractors. These roles offer hands-on experience in large-scale civil works, strengthening Punjab’s urban living standards.

Eligibility Criteria & Important Notes

✅ Educational Requirement:

• Diploma of Associate Engineering (Civil), 3-year course after Matriculation, from an institution recognized by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) or HEC.

✅ Age & Domicile:

• Minimum 21 and maximum 30 years (no relaxation).
• Must hold a valid Punjab domicile certificate.

✅ Gender:

• Only male candidates may apply.

✅ Application Fee & Test Admission:

• Deposit fee as prescribed on PPSC website.
• Download roll number slip from www.ppsc.gop.pk once test dates are announced.

❌ Disqualifications:

• Employees of Federal Government / Semi-Government bodies are not eligible for age concessions.

Selection Procedure

2. Written Test (MCQ format) – 100 marks, 90 minutes
3. Interview – by PPSC Board for candidates who pass the written exam
