The Strategic Policy Planning Cell (SPPC) in Islamabad has opened a fresh three-year hiring round for senior thinkers who can steer Pakistan’s security debates from inside the National Security Division. Open seats range from a single Chairman SPPC and Legal Advisor (National Security) to teams of Senior Policy Specialists, Policy Experts, and Research Specialists covering both traditional threats (defence, regional stability) and non-traditional challenges such as economics, climate, and cyber. Candidates need a PhD or MPhil in the relevant field, a proven record of research or government work—up to a decade for MP-I slots, five years for MP-II, and three for MP-III—and must fall within the advertised age band (40-50, depending on grade).
