The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) invites applications from eligible candidates for the position of Provincial Management Service (Selection from Ministerial Quota) on a regular basis. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications:
Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:

• A Master’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree (4 years), or LLB from a recognized university.

Experience:

• For officials in BS-11 to BS-16: Minimum 5 years of service under the government.
• For officials in BS-05 to BS-10: Minimum 8 years of service under the government.

Syllabus for Written Examination

The written examination will include three papers totaling 150 marks:

1. General Ability Paper (Objective) – 100 Marks
   • Topics: General Knowledge, Pakistan Affairs, English Grammar, and Islamic Studies (for Muslims) or Ethics (for non-Muslims).
2. English Essay – 25 Marks
3. Urdu Essay – 25 Marks

Additional Assessment:

• Psychological Assessment and Viva Voce: 200 Marks

Note:

• Phase I: All candidates will be called for the written test in General Knowledge (Objective) only.
• Phase II: Candidates scoring at least 40 marks out of 100 in the General Knowledge Paper will be invited for the remaining written tests (English Essay and Urdu Essay).

Important Notes

1. Candidates must achieve 40% marks in each subject and 50% marks in aggregate to qualify for the interview stage (shortlisted at a 1:5 ratio).
2. Negative marking applies: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer in the MCQ-type paper.
3. Changes in examination center priorities are not allowed after submission.
4. Only information available on the official PPSC website is authentic; candidates must avoid unofficial sources.

• Ensure that you have obtained or applied for the NOC/DPC from your department. This must be submitted during the interview if shortlisted.

Selection Process

The selection process includes:

1. Written Test: Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria will undergo a written test as per the syllabus outlined above.
2. Psychological Assessment and Viva Voce: Shortlisted candidates will be assessed further through a psychological evaluation and an interview.
