About Sindh Institute of Child Health and Neonatology (SICHN)

The Sindh Institute of Child Health and Neonatology is a responsive to pediatric care project established by the Government of Sindh. SICHN located in Karachi, it operates as an independent organization focusing exclusively on neonatal, and pediatric healthcare services. It provides inpatient and outpatient treatment across a Sindh region in the domain of pediatricians, surgeons, neonatal specialists, trained nurses, and diagnostic experts.

SICHN combines medical service delivery with health education, clinical research, and performance-based staff recruitment. The institution is governed by a Board of Governors and follows public sector guidelines while maintaining the flexibility needed to deliver results under a semi-autonomous structure. It continues to play a important role in expanding access to high-quality maternal and child healthcare across Sindh.
