The Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Institute of Trauma (SMBBIT), Karachi invites applications on a contract basis for its Surgical Emergency Center, Larkana. Multiple clinical, nursing, and support positions are open to qualified, compassionate professionals who want to work in a high-acuity, patient-first environment. Roles include Consultant Radiologist, Emergency Physician, Junior Consultant Radiology, Specialist Radiologist (MCPS/DMRD), Senior Medical Officer (ER), Resident Medical Officer (Emergency), Medical Officer, Medical Officer (ICU/Anesthesia), Biomedical Engineer, Pharmacist, Respiratory Therapist, Senior Staff Nurse, Staff Nurse, Staff Nurse (ICU), Nursing Assistant, HR Officer, and ICU Technician. Duty station is Larkana, Sindh; domicile: Sindh.

Job Position Detail

All medical qualifications must be PMDC/PMC recognized with valid registration on the closing date. Where preferences are indicated, candidates with the listed exposure will be prioritized. Age limits shown are upper caps.

What You’ll Do — Role Highlights

Emergency & Critical Care Team

• Triage and stabilize trauma, surgical, and medical emergencies following ATLS/ACLS/BLS pathways.
• Coordinate resuscitation bays, rapid imaging, and OT activation; document care precisely in EMR/medical charts.
• Participate in night/rotational duties, inter-department handovers, and incident reporting.

Radiology Faculty (Consultant/Junior Consultant/Specialist)

• Provide high-quality X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound reporting; perform procedures as credentialed.
• Implement structured reporting, dose safety, and urgent “red flag” communication with ER/ICU/OT.
• Mentor junior clinicians in image interpretation and radiation protection basics.

Nursing (Senior Staff Nurse, Staff Nurse, ICU Nurse, Nursing Assistant)

• Lead safe medication administration, invasive line care, device checks, and infection-control bundles.
• Run ICU ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring with physician oversight; maintain shift rosters and training logs.
• Support patient/family education, compassionate communication, and handover discipline.

Pharmacy & Respiratory Care

• Assure medication reconciliation, availability of crash-cart drugs, and cold-chain integrity.
• Deliver ventilator weaning, ABG-guided therapy, and respiratory device troubleshooting aligned with ICU protocols.

Biomedical Engineering & HR

• Maintain uptime of monitors, infusion pumps, ventilators, and imaging devices through PPM and calibrated SOPs.
• HR Officer manages recruitment, onboarding, rosters, and records, ensuring compliance with policy and labor law.
