The Government of Punjab’s Directorate General of Literacy & Non-Formal Basic Education is hiring Middle (General) Teachers and Middle-Tech Teachers for the North, South, and Central Punjab Non-Formal Education Projects on a part-time, time-bound contract in 36 districts across Punjab—including Lahore, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Muzaffargarh, Khanewal, and others—to teach out-of-school learners aged 10–16 who have passed primary school. These community-based roles are open to male, female, and transgender applicants with a Punjab domicile and valid CNIC; each teacher receives a monthly stipend of Rs. 20,000 and works with the department’s Literacy Mobilizers to set up and run a one-room learning center close to home.

For Middle (General) Teacher (NFBEES), the minimum qualification is Graduation with at least 50% marks (higher qualifications welcome). For Middle-Tech Teacher (NFBEES), the minimum is Matric with at least 50% marks plus a 1-year or 3-year relevant diploma (Agriculture, Livestock, Cooking, Dressmaking, Beautician; higher qualifications welcome). The age window for both categories is 20–55 years. Hiring spans 470 posts for Middle (General) Teachers across 36 districts, and 75 posts for Middle-Tech Teachers across 10 districts—including Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Sialkot, Jhelum, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Muzaffargarh, Khanewal, and Multan—with placement in the applicant’s own District/Tehsil/Union Council to serve local learners.

Eligibility Requirements ✅

To qualify for these teaching positions, candidates must:

• Be aged 20 to 55 years at the time of application.
• Hold domicile of Punjab.
• Possess a valid CNIC.
• Meet the educational criteria for the relevant post.
• Be willing to establish and manage a classroom in their local area.

Contract Details 📅

• Appointment will be on a part-time, time-bound, and contractual basis until 30 June 2026, subject to possible extension based on performance evaluation by the P&D Board.
• Teachers will work within their District, Tehsil, or Union Council where they permanently reside.
• Monthly stipend: Rs. 20,000.
• Contract may be extended based on project needs and performance.
