The Water & Power Development Authority (WAPDA) has announced specialist job opportunities in WAPDA Medical Services on a contract basis. Qualified medical professionals are invited to apply for various positions in different medical fields across Pakistan.

Available Job Positions & Quotas

Eligibility Criteria

Required Qualifications

Candidates must possess one of the following:

✔ FCPS / MS / FRCS / MRCP / MD / Diplomate of American Board or an equivalent medical qualification recognized by PMDC with a minimum of 3 years post-graduate practical experience in the respective specialty.

OR

✔ FCPS / MS / FRCS / MRCP / MD in General Surgery / General Medicine with 6 years of experience in a recognized institution after post-graduation.

OR

✔ If higher qualification holders are unavailable, MBBS with MCPS / Diploma in a relevant specialty along with 3 years of experience in a recognized institution after post-graduation may be considered.

Age Limit

📌 For Specialist Positions: Up to 45 years
📌 For Senior Registrar Positions: Up to 40 years

✔ General age relaxation applies as per government rules for minorities, tribal areas, and other special categories.

Contract Terms & Duration

📌 Contract Duration: 1 year (extendable annually based on performance)
📌 Regularization: Not applicable – these positions will remain contract-based.

Application Process & Submission Guidelines

Step 1: Application Submission

✔ Application Form: Available on WAPDA’s official website: www.wapda.gov.pk
✔ Submission Method:

• Send duly filled application forms via courier/postal service within 15 days of the advertisement.
• Attach attested copies of educational certificates, experience letters, CNIC, domicile, and two passport-sized photos.
• Hand-delivered applications will NOT be accepted.

Step 2: Screening & Interview Process

📌 Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview (No TA/DA).
📌 Candidates must bring original documents at the time of the interview.

Step 3: Selection & Finalization

✔ Candidates removed from service due to disciplinary issues are not eligible to apply.
✔ WAPDA reserves the right to cancel or modify the recruitment process at any stage.
✔ Any false information found at any stage will lead to immediate disqualification.

General Conditions & Instructions

✔ Government & WAPDA Employees:

• Those with 2 years of continuous regular service can avail 10 years of age relaxation.
• Must apply through the proper channel with an NOC/Permission.

✔ Educational Certificates & Degrees:

• Must be verified by HEC-recognized universities and concerned boards/institutes.

✔ Age Calculation:

• Age will be calculated as of the last date of application submission.

✔ Recruitment Policy:

• WAPDA reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of vacancies based on requirements.
• Candidates must meet all eligibility criteria, or their applications will be rejected.
