The role leads ESMP/H&S implementation—site audits, training, incident investigations, and compliance reporting—across rehabilitation works. Core Duties & Responsibilities — What you will do 🛠️

  • Lead implementation of the EHS / ESMP for the Warsak rehabilitation project, ensuring compliance with WAPDA, Pakistani law and donor standards.
  • Prepare, update and implement site-specific H&S plans, SOPs, checklists and risk assessments.
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, toolbox talks and enforce corrective actions.
  • Organize and deliver EHS training programs for contractors, supervisors and project staff (incl. emergency response drills).
  • Investigate incidents, near-misses and workplace accidents; prepare detailed root-cause analysis and recommendations.
  • Monitor air, water and waste management controls, and advise on mitigation measures for construction impacts.
  • Maintain EHS records, training logs, non-conformance reports and weekly/monthly compliance reports for project management and donors.
  • Coordinate with contractors, local authorities, communities and WAPDA’s safeguards unit to ensure timely remediation and stakeholder communication.
  • Integrate lessons learned into the project’s EHS management system and support continuous improvement.
