The Ministry of Maritime Affairs under the Government of Pakistan has announced a career opportunity for the role of Chairman, Karachi Port Trust (KPT). The position is based in Karachi and involves leading operations in accordance with the KPT Act, 1886.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Chairman, Karachi Port Trust (KPT) position, applicants must meet the following requirements:

For educational qualifications, candidates must hold a Master’s Degree from an HEC-recognized university. Suitable fields of study include Management, Administrative, Social/Natural Sciences, Engineering, Information Technology, or MBA/MPA.

Regarding experience, applicants should have a minimum of 9 years of post-qualification experience at the executive level in administration, management, or project development within public or private organizations. Candidates with at least 5 years of senior management experience will be preferred. Having experience in port management will be considered an added advantage.

The maximum age limit for applicants is 62 years on the closing date for applications.

This role is open to Pakistani citizens only.
