Ministry of Maritime Affairs Jobs – Government Positions In Directorate General Ports & Shipping Karachi

Chief Nautical Surveyor is needed in the Directorate General Ports & Shipping, Karachi. These Ministry of Maritime Affairs Jobs 2024 are open for the initial period of 3 years(extendable by the Performance Evaluation Committee). Pay and Allowances will be made as per the MP Scale Policy, 2020, as approved by the Government.

Eligibility Requirements:

Qualification:

Valid Certificate of Competency as Master of Foreign Going Ships.

At least 3 years of command experience on foreign ships

OR

2 years for candidates with a B.Sc. in Maritime Studies.

Experience:

1 year as a Nautical Surveyor in a Mercantile Marine Department of any country
OR

3 years as a Surveyor in a recognized Classification Society (IACS) or in a sub-contracted company of such society
OR

3 years as a Nautical Examiner of Master and Mates in a Marine Academy/College/University in Australia, Singapore, or the United Kingdom.
